PDF- and PS-test files for relative colour image reproduction
according to ISO/IEC 15775 and ISO/IEC TR 24705.

The example files include the following transforms: "1-Minus-Relation (1MR)" and "Device to Elementary Hue (DEH)", and more information about the application of the different transforms.

The output of the files in Table 1 is for both the device hue output (DH, folders OE50 to OE59) and the device independent elementary hue output (DEH, folders OE60 to OE69) according to the CIE Reportership Report R1-47:2009 "Hue Angles of Elementary Colours",

About the content of the standard documents ISO/IEC 15775 and ISO/IEC TR 24705
The International Standard ISO/IEC 15775 and the International Technical Report ISO/IEC TR 24705 "Information technology ­ Office machines ­ Method of specifying relative colour reproduction with YES/NO criteria" is valid for colour reproduction systems "analog - ­ analog" and "digital - ­ analog". The colour reproduction systems include for example the computer operating system and the application software for the analog output of a analog (printed) test chart or the analog output of a digital file with the devices
- copiers;
- printers;
- multifunctional devices;
- displays;
- data projectors.

The standard ISO/IEC 15775:1999 and the Technical Report ISO/IEC TR 24705 describe a method for the specification of the relative colour reproduction properties of the output according to defined YES/NO criteria. The aim is the colorimentric specification or the visual assessment of the output properties of these colour reproduction systems.

Purpose of ISO/IEC-test files according to ISO/IEC 15775 and ISO/IEC TR 24705

The ISO/IEC-test files according to ISO/IEC 15775 and ISO/IEC TR 24705 serve for the colorimetric specification and he visual assessment of the output. The colorimetric specification is described in ISO/IEC 15775.

Table 1: ISO/IEC-test charts 2 to 4 according to ISO/IEC 15775 and ISO/IEC TR 24705 for eight viewing conditions (Contrast steps CY1 to CY8).
The output is either for the Device Hue output (DH, folders OE50 to OE59) or the Device to Elementary Hue output (DEH, folders OE60 to OE69) for the sRGB colour space according to IEC 61966-2-1 and CIE R1-47.


Remarks:
The files are given in the formats TXT, PS, and PDF and produce the output orientation A4L (L=Landscsape).
Approximately any editor opens the file with the extension .TXT and shows the PS-programming code. Some internet browsers, for example Safari on Mac or Windows change all the files with the extension .PS to a PDF file and show a PDF-file output. In some cases the direct and the produced PDF file output (from the PS file) differs, for example because f "smoothing" of the output. To make the PDF files readable with approximately any PDF reader, the software Adobe Distiller, Version 3 has been used which produces the PDF-Version 1.2. The PS, TXT, and PDF files in ASCII-Code are not compressed and lead maximal to the file size 20 MB, if an ISO/IEC image is included.
